...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills between 5 to 10 degrees.

* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
  is exposed to these temperatures. The expected wind chill values
  can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure. Very cold
  temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
