...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY EVENING
THROUGH LATE THURSDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible above 1500 feet. Total snow
  accumulations 2 to 8 inches along highway 299, 3, and 36. Over a
  foot of snow is possible above 4000 feet, including Scott Mountain
  Pass.

* WHERE...Trinity County.

* WHEN...From Wednesday evening through late Thursday night. Snow
  levels possibly rise above 2500 ft Thursday afternoon

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
  likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation.

Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter
storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains,
booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing.
Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help
you survive in case you become stranded.
