KEY MESSAGES: - Another Cold Weather Advisory is effect for far NE Montana until noon today. - Much below normal temperatures will continue through the 7 day forecast. - Light snow accumulations are likely for portions of the area today through Saturday. WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: Shortwave trough pushing through the Pacific Northwest will bring Pacific moisture across the divide and spread snow into eastern Montana later today. Second shortwave rotating out of Canada will also provide another push of Arctic air into the state on Saturday. With high pressure over the northern plains and an upper ridge developing west of divide, upslope snow is possible for early next week. Toward the end of the forecast period, the continued building of the western ridge will begin to erode the arctic airmass over the region. FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS: Low wind chills this morning will continue to meet criteria for a Cold Weather Advisory. While the lowest winds chills will be early, there could be continued readings near -25 over the next 24 hours. Snow probabilities for at least 1 inch are above 80% for most of the region through Saturday. Probabilities are much lower for higher amounts. && .AVIATION...
