A departing frontal system north of Haida Gwaii is generating areas of marginal southwest gale force winds across parts of the northern and central waters early this morning. Winds will diminish to southerly strong late this morning. A low pressure system will move into northwestern Explorer this afternoon. Ahead of the low, winds will rise to southeast gale force early this afternoon and veer to southwest gale force late this afternoon. Over northwestern Explorer, there is the potential for storm force gusts this evening. Winds will diminish to southerly strong early Monday morning. A deep low pressure system will approach southeastern Explorer Monday afternoon and move into the region by Monday evening. East to southeast gale to storm force winds will develop over outer southern waters Monday afternoon and spread to the inner southern waters Monday evening. END/PSPC
