...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL TULARE COUNTY
THROUGH 630 PM PDT...

At 552 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
East Porterville, or 10 miles east of Porterville, moving southeast
at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Quaking Aspen, Oak Opening, Camp Nelson, Ponderosa, Peppermint,
Springville, Uhl, East Porterville, and Porterville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
