...A SNOW SQUALL WILL AFFECT SOUTHWESTERN GARFIELD...WESTERN KANE AND
SOUTHEASTERN IRON COUNTIES...

At 1028 PM MDT...A snow squall was along a line extending from 6
miles north of Panguitch Lake to 13 miles southwest of Hatch to near
Kanab...and moving east at 20 mph.

Locations impacted include...
Orderville, Hillsdale, Hatch, Long Valley Junction, Panguitch Lake,
Glendale, Alton, Red Canyon, Kanab, Panguitch, Mt Carmel, Cedar
Breaks National Monument, and Bryce Canyon National Park.

This includes the following highways...
 US Route 89 between mile markers 45 and 79, and between mile markers
81 and 133.
 Utah Route 12 between mile markers 0 and 8.

  * winds up to or in excess of 25 mph are possible with this squall.

  * visibilities will drop quickly to less than a half mile in this
  squall.

  * sudden and brief snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are
  possible in this squall.
