...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of northwestern Lake
and southwestern Flathead Counties through 1245 PM MDT...

At 1210 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles north of Big Arm, or 17 miles south of Kalispell, moving east
at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Woods Bay, Bigfork, Proctor, Lakeside, Lake Mary Ronan, Rollins, and
Dayton.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 83 between mile markers 78 and 84.
 Highway 93 N between mile markers 81 and 99.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

If on or near Flatehead Lake, get out of the water and move indoors
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
