...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN MARIPOSA COUNTY
THROUGH 345 PM PDT...

At 322 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Yosemite National, or 14 miles north of Yosemite South Entrance,
moving south at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Yosemite Glacier Point, Camp 4 Campground, Tamarack Flat Campground,
Yosemite National, and Yosemite Valley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
