...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN UINTAH AND EASTERN
DAGGETT COUNTIES THROUGH 300 PM MDT...

At 229 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles south of Squaw Hollow Boat Ramp On
Flaming Gorge to 9 miles east of Vernal to 12 miles southeast of Fort
Duchesne. Movement was northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Vernal and Naples.

This includes the following highways...
 U.S. Highway 40 in Utah between mile markers 134 and 135, and
between mile markers 143 and 167.
 U.S. Highway 191 in Utah between mile markers 353 and 404.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

If on or near Flaming Gorge, get out of the water and move indoors
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
